The vast majority of our training program portfolio consists of customized or group courses for specific companies and organizations.

 

However, we do offer a limited selection of open enrollment courses for individuals and small groups.  Below is the current schedule of these open enrollment courses listed in alphabetical order by course title.  All classes are held at our Newport County, Rhode Island facility unless otherwise noted.  For a complete listing of our entire library of USCG APPROVED / IMO STCW COMPLIANT courses, click here.

Advanced Fire Fighting Refresher  - 1.5 days

Advanced Fire Fighting Revalidation - 1 day (normally offered on day one of dates below)

  • July 14-15   (Revalidation on first day only; Refresher students attend both days)

  • August 11-12   (Revalidation on first day only; Refresher students attend both days)

  • September 15-16   (Revalidation on first day only; Refresher students attend both days)

  • October 21-22   (Revalidation on first day only; Refresher students attend both days)

  • November 16-17   (Revalidation on first day only; Refresher students attend both days)

  • December 16-17   (Revalidation on first day only; Refresher students attend both days)

  • Additional Information:

    • Tuition: $545 (Refresher) and $480 (Revalidation)

    • USCG-approved and meets STCW 2010 requirements.

    • Revalidation students must be able to provide proof to flag state (e.g., USCG) of one (1) year sea service in the past five (5) years. 

    • Mariners not actively sailing should register for the 1.5-days Refresher course.

Basic Training Refresher - 2 days

Basic Training Revalidation - 1 day (normally offered on day two of dates below)

  • July 12-13   (Revalidation on second day only; Refresher students attend both days)

  • August 9-10   (Revalidation on second day only; Refresher students attend both days)

  • September 13-14   (Revalidation on second day only; Refresher students attend both days)

  • October 19-20   (Revalidation on second day only; Refresher students attend both days)

  • November 14-15   (Revalidation on second day only; Refresher students attend both days)

  • December 14-15   (Revalidation on second day only; Refresher students attend both days)

  • Additional Information:

    • Tuition: $875 (Refresher) and $720 (Revalidation)

    • USCG-approved and meets STCW 2010 requirements.

    • Revalidation students must be able to provide proof to flag state (e.g., USCG) of one (1) year sea service in the past five (5) years. 

    • Mariners not actively sailing should register for the 2-day Refresher course.

    • Please note this course does not include First Aid/CPR/AED.

Bridge Resource Management (BRM) 3 days with simulation

LNG Marine Fuel - Combined Basic and Advanced IGF Code Operations

(formerly Basic and Advanced Low Flash Point Fuel Operations and LNG Bunkering PIC)

  • September 20-24

  • Location: Port Canaveral, FL

  • Additional Information:

    • Tuition: $2,900 ($2,500 - early bird discount if course is booked and tuition paid more than three weeks prior to start)

    • USCG-approved

    • Meets new STCW Chapter 5, Section A-V/3 requirements which entered into force in January 2017.

    • Includes one-day of practical LNG emergency response and firefighting field training with actual cryogenic product.
