MARINE OPERATIONS

MODELING & SIMULATION

Our well-tested and innovative approach to marine operations research, by integrating the human-machine interface through real-time “mariner in the loop” simulations using both ship and tug wheelhouse configurations, continues to yield highly regarded and truly realistic outcomes for sponsors.  This research work offers the capability to address a wide-range of design, operational and environmental issues in projects involving marine terminal infrastructure, ports and waterways, navigation safety and advanced ship and tug maneuvering operations.

To learn more about what makes USMRC’s Marine Operations Research Team and our work unique, our philosophy and approach in employing simulation as a tool, example applications for this type of research, our in-depth research process, the simulation technologies we use and a list of past projects and sponsors, please view and download our Simulation Research Capability Document click here
